Take a Step

Vision for Impact in 2025

Habakkuk 2:2 Then the LORD replied: “Write down the revelation

and make it plain on tablets

so that a herald may run with it.

Mark 16:20 Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.

◦Jesus did not come to be served but to serve!

◦If you want something to happen in your life, get involved and serve! (Baptism, Connect Groups, Friendships, Outreaches, Generosity Challenges.)

◦Best is still yet to come…

✓New Stone!!! WE ARE PLANTED: in a time, an area of our life, it’s a facet of the world that wants to uproot you, but we will show up, pray, get involved, serve, get into a connect group and be inviting! It is Discipleship 101.

◦Joshua 3:4 “Then you will know which way to go, since you have never been this way before. But keep a distance of about two thousand cubits between you and the ark; do not go near it.”

◦If we are not growing in His word then we need to re evaluate things! In order to grow we need to stretch our spiritual muscles. Do things we have never done before and go where we have never gone before.

◦To get to another level, we need to stretch and get uncomfortable!

✓Growth in God is good but it doesn’t always feel good!

◦Stone 5: We preach The Gospel!

◦You will get uncomfortable. God uses this discomfort to love you into your purpose. He has a plan and purpose for you.

◦Nothing that you’ve gone through will be wasted so God will get the glory out of it but you’ll need to get uncomfortable.

◦God uses discomfort to move you into your purpose!

◦Fear of taking the First step. The last time I took a step it was a disaster.

✓***Growth requires trusting God when we would rather avoid something that seems like taking another risk especially after being wounded!!!

◦TAKE A TOWARDS HIM! Step towards your purpose, wholeness, growth, and forgiveness.

◦We fight for surrender. At Impact we create that atmosphere.

◦Let this be your year to take that step!!!

◦Stone 3: We need His Power

Review of our 12 Stones

1.We deal with the REINS: We allow God to deal with the things holding us back, and we work together to endure difficult periods and to prepare ourselves for the plans and purposes God has for our lives.

2.We MULTIPLY: We go and make disciples, striving to advance the kingdom of God and to live according to the teachings of Jesus.

3.***We need His POWER: Jesus helped people out of their conditions and positions, empowering them for a better life. Through the Holy Spirit and the Word of God, we can walk in that same power.

4.We express JOY and THANKS: We laugh, celebrate, applaud, and enjoy life! We show our gratitude and happiness to God and the world!

5.***We preach the GOSPEL (This will never change): Through our songs, services, words, lives, and communications with the world, we celebrate and share the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

6.We protect UNITY: We do not welcome nor tolerate the poisons of gossip, complaining, backbiting, discord, or division.

7.We see with eyes of HOPE: God has a plan for His church, and no weapon formed against us will prosper! We pray that all see their purpose and the plans God has for Grace and Forgiveness.

8.We love PEOPLE: All of them! Backgrounds, shapes, colors, sizes, education, salaries, single, married, young, old, churched, dechurched, or unchurched.

9.We minister to FAMILIES: The first ministry God created was family. We are dedicated to ministering to the entire family, which in turn builds a healthy church.

10.We break the BOX: The box was meant for those who refuse to think big! We serve a big God, able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all we could ever ask or think. We cannot be scared to be where we have never been before.

11.We serve in EXCELLENCE: Our mindset should always be to bring honor to God. Therefore, in everything we do, we do it with a spirit of excellence.

12.We speak to MOUNTAINS: We are agents of change in this world, designated by God to carry out His mission of new life in every aspect of our culture.
