I’m staying Right Here!

Generational Holes! Hole / Whole

✓ The phrase “Make you holy and whole” is found in The Message (MSG) translation of 1 Thessalonians 5:23. “May God himself, the God who makes everything holy and whole, make you holy and whole, put you together—spirit, soul, and body—and keep you fit for the coming of our Master, Jesus Christ.”

◦ 3 tools to help you through this…Discipleship; Community; Courage to walk through the process.

◦ Someone for Pastor it was his Mother that decided to surrender (turned) her life to Jesus Christ. We come from a family with a bunch of holes in the family tree: divorce, abuse, drugs…etc

◦ God desires our life to be whole

◦ Generational Holes! Acts 8- Samaria!

◦ Simon the sorcerer! In an area that is full of witchcraft that controlled the area of Samaria.

◦ The enemy can rule over regions and he is in Samaria.

◦ Not only is the enemy after areas and regions he is after houses! Everything born of your loins, lineage, genealogy.

◦ There are demonic forces assigned to you that is after peace, home and family. If he can only find an open door. You are fighting your great-grandmother’s, grandmother’s mother’s devil.

◦ You’re doing time for a crime you didn’t commit.

✓ What doesn’t get healed gets handed down!

◦ What doesn’t become whole becomes holes in your family tree.

◦ Leviticus talks about a mold in your house that if you don’t control will spread: Leviticus 14:33-

✓ Leviticus 14:35 (NIV) says: “The owner of the house must go and tell the priest, ‘I have seen something that looks like a defiling mold in my house.’”

✓ Psalm 51 David and Bathsheba. Psalm 51:5 (NIV) says: “Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.”

◦ David acknowledges that sin has been a part of his nature from the very beginning—not that his conception itself was sinful, but that he was born into a fallen, sinful condition.

◦ David grew up in that sin and he knew something wasn’t right. It was in his family.

◦ What doesn’t get healed gets handed down!

◦ YOLK- Is a mold will spread like a yolk. Jesus came to destroy the yolk.

✓ Isaiah 10:27 (NIV): “In that day their burden will be lifted from your shoulders, their yoke from your neck; the yoke will be broken because you have grown so fat.”

◦ From the ox youth all it knew was the yolk. Its life took on the yolk and only knows what was passed down.

◦ A spiritual yolk: Metaphor for bondage, burden, or control in a person’s life, often related to sin, oppression, or unhealthy attachments. It’s what a still controls us!

✓ Isaiah 10:27 (often interpreted as “the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing”) suggests that God’s power and presence break oppression.

◦ The anointing! God’s presence, blessing, and empowerment for a specific purpose

◦ We are trying to use worldly remedies to fix worldly problems!

◦ A new house a new car a new thing…mediums tarot cards…only ONE can fix it. Only ONE is the YOLK destroyer.

✓ Matthew 7:24-25 (NIV): 24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.”

◦ Shout HOUSE! Now shout ROCK!

✓ Psalm 18:2 (NIV): “The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”

✓ Psalm 61:2 (NIV): “From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”

◦ He’s your healer and provider. The phrase “I am your peace” in relation to Gideon is found in Judges 6:24. This verse occurs after Gideon encounters an angel of the Lord who calls him to deliver Israel from the oppression of the Midianites. Judges 6:24 (NIV): “So Gideon built an altar to the Lord

there and called it The Lord Is Peace. To this day it stands in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.”

◦ “Jehovah-Siri” and “rock”

✓ Exodus 17:11-12 (NIV): 11 “As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning; but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning.” 12 “When Moses’ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up—one

on one side, one on the other—so that his hands remained steady till sunset.”

◦ Hey Moses “GO SIT ON THE ROCK” with your hands lifted praising God!

✓ In the battle, stay here! In the storm, stay here! In the floods, stay here. When they make fun of you, stay here. If the world gets crazy, I’m staying right here!

✓ If you don’t see your neighbor, send the rock emoji

✓ Joshua 24:15 (NIV):“But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. BUT AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSEHOLD, we will SERVE THE LORD!”
