The Lord has need of it!
Staying connected!
Luke 19:28-40 After Jesus had said this, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem. As he approached Bethphage and Bethany at the hill called the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it.’”
Those who were sent ahead went and found it just as he had told them. As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them, “Why are you untying the colt?”
They replied, “The Lord needs it.”
They brought it to Jesus, threw their cloaks on the colt, and put Jesus on it. As he went along, people spread their cloaks on the road.
When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen:
“Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!”
“Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”
Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!”
“I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”
◦ Palm Sunday- fulfilling of prophecy
◦ Zach 9:9. Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion!
Shout, Daughter Jerusalem!
See, your king comes to you,
righteous and victorious,
lowly and riding on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
◦ Something about an entry!
◦ He didn't come on on horse but a donkey.
◦ If you don’t praise me the rocks will cry out.
◦ The donkey! A lot of details about the donkey/ colt.
◦ The colt and how it was tied up. It’s never been ridden. Not about who put them there…not clear. But when you go there people will question you and people did ask! The Lord has need of it!
◦ The thing that had been forgotten and overlooked and overused, but it seemed as if the donkey had no significance. It’s been there a long time. People question…what’s going on with it?
◦ This is the thing the Lord had need of… are there “ropes” holding you back? Are there hiccups in your life holding you back? Shame? Regret? ..Keeping you from knowing what direction to take in your life. The Lord has need of it!
◦ Have you accepted that lie that you’re too old to be used? He puts the pieces back together IF YOU LET HIM! and He puts it back better. He’ll untie the ropes holding you back.
◦ God is calling you to go forward!
◦ There’s still much to be done. The Lord has need of YOU!
◦ Esther 4:14 For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”
It’s not by accident you are here! The Lord has need of you!
Psalm 139:14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
◦ You are NOT an accident. You are fearfully and wonderfully made!
John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
Jeremiah 1:5

before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
Acts 17:26
From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands.
◦ YOU ARE NOT AN ACCIDENT! You were not born out of time, but appointed to live during this time to live your God Given Assiment at this time!
◦ God doesn’t call the qualified He qualifies the called!
◦ God has a plan and purpose for you!
◦ Puzzle pieces and God puts it together:
◦ PUZZLE PIECE 1. There’s a place for you.
◦ 2. You have to get connected with small Connect groups/ Bible Studies. You have to be around people that are encouraging you. Finding out who you are in Jesus.
◦ You get connected to find out who you are or the enemy will destroy you.
◦ There is a STANDARD down inside of you. 8 hours every day for three years around 8000 hours with Jesus and they still had gaps in their life! Do you think one hour per week is going to fix your gaps??? Stay Connected
◦ 3. Next Step / Growth Track. 1 Kings 17:12 As surely as the LORD your God lives,” she replied, “I don’t have any bread—only a handful of flour in a jar and a little olive oil in a jug. I am gathering a few sticks to take home and make a meal for myself and my son, that we may eat it—and die.”
◦ She says we’re dying…he said can you make me something? Serve! To find the greatest fulfillment of your life …Serve!
◦ If you want to get out of the mess in your life…serve! Why? You get the focus off of you! He has plans for you! Go to Growth Track..find your strength. You make Impact your Home! Why? It’s accountability.
◦ You’ll never be successful without accountability! Without accountability, there is no reason for change.
◦ 4. Two Services / Planted. Serve, Equipping, all to help you stay planted. They don’t want to allow the enemy to serve in your life.
◦ 5. Generous. Bigger than money. It’s about Jesus first! Cheerful Giver!
◦ He takes your past and makes IT a Present! Wrapped in a bow so you can take it to someone else. He did it for me and he’ll do it for you.
◦ Little Jesus to share and encourage someone…saying I’m allowing Him to work in my life. It’s a journey, not a sprint! And saying we can do this journey together.
◦ 6. Huddle. The enemy will destroy you in the gaps. We have the huddle to fill in the gap! People can pray and believe in you to fill the gaps!
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor:
If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up.
