1Peter 5:8 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

◦The roar is to bring fear or immobilize

◦The enemy wants to bring fear

◦Timothy- doesn’t give us a spirit of fear but of love and sound mind.

✓ROARING LION! Fear does something to the body! It can shut you down. Take a toll on your body!

✓Living under constant fear can affect your physical health and weaken your immune system. Affects your digestive tract and does damage to your cardiovascular system.

◦Affects of fear does something that the doctor cannot detect!

✓Fight vs Flight: the enemy is roaring because he wants you to flight and NOT fight!

◦Fear also takes a toll on your MIND.

◦Amygdala hijack- thoughts or emotions of fear become so overwhelming that you lose control.

◦What do you do when the enemy overwhelms you and takes over your life?

◦What do you do when your mind gets hijacked and you feel as if you’re going to lose control?

◦When you hear the TRUMPET, Rush to where ever it is sounding!

◦There has to be a NOISE coming from the church! When you hear the noise…THEN OUR GOD WILL FIGHT FOR US!

◦Lion King example! Simba tries to roar and then the KING comes from behind with a roar! You will get your fight back!

◦Micah 7:8 8 Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.
