Vision Month!
Proverbs 29:18.- “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”
Keep the “Main Thing” the “Main Thing”….Whats the “Main Thing”?
-His Death, Burial, & Resurrection!
-He Saves!
-He Redeems!
-He is NOT in the grave; He is Risen!
-What can wash away my sins? NOTHING but the blood of Jesus!
◦Yes the church has grown but still the “Main Thing” is the “Main Thing”…. We will preach the gospel!
◦Matthew 6:33 in the Bible (KJV), which states: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
◦Impact Stone: We express JOY and THANKS: We laugh, celebrate, applaud, and enjoy life! We show our gratitude and happiness to God and the world!
◦Psalm 30:5 in the Bible (KJV), which says: “For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”
◦Impact Stone: We love PEOPLE: All of them! Backgrounds, shapes, colors, sizes, education, salaries, single, married, young, old, churched, dechurched, or unchurched.
◦Mark 2:17 (NIV), where Jesus says: “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
◦Loving everyone doesn’t equate to endorsing everything
◦Jesus loved the hurting while hating what hurts!
◦You can love without endorsing everything!
◦Habakkuk 1:5 (NIV): “Look at the nations and watch—and be utterly amazed. For I am GOING TO DO SOMETHING in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.”
◦GOD IS DOING SOMETHING across this nation! In our Region! AND Here at Impact!
◦He is calling US to step into what He is doing!
◦Don’t do life alone! There are needs in our community: *AIM outreach baby shower. *Garfield Elementary sock and under garment needs for the kids.
◦It’s more than coming to church and singing and getting those goosebumps. We Need To Love On People. It’s reaching out in the Highways and Byways!
◦Church is a place for sinners not a club for saints. We serve the Hurting!!!
◦***Next Sunday we at Impact are collecting socks and underwear for 6-10 year olds. Not on our watch will we let kids and people suffer without reaching out. In 2025 everything we do at Impact is going to be to help someone take a Step Towards God, Towards Purpose, Towards a Miracle, Towards a Breakthrough!
◦Mark 4:35-39 (NIV): “Jesus Calms the Storm” 35 That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side.” 36 Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. 37 A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. 38 Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?” 39 He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.
◦First thing we see is that Jesus says, I want you to cross over to the other side! He commanded them to “Take a Step”!
◦There is a miracle on the other side. You take the step and you know that you can’t go back and you know that can’t see out in front of you! Take The Step!
◦At some moment when you decide to step out of the drama, the issues, the problems, something / someone will come into your space and try to derail you!
✓It’s called a spiritual mountain! It’s a Fear, Your Past, Its a Feeling of A Hopeless Addiction.
✓It’s that thing thats standing up in your life blocking your view of what God has for you!
◦The devil doesn’t have to tie you up to be bound…He can just fill your mind with negativity and hopelessness.
◦BUT We know that Jesus gets up and speaks up to rebuke that mountain.
◦Impact Stone: We speak to MOUNTAINS: We are agents of change in this world, designated by God to carry out His mission of new life in every aspect of our culture.
◦This is a house (Impact Church) that when you take a step; you will and have authority to speak to that mountain!
◦1 John 4:4 (KJV): “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”
◦If you’re going to take a step in 2025 you need to have Faith over feeling in sight
◦In 2025, Where God is taking you not everyone can go! The problem is not determining where you want to go, but what you’re going to be willing to leave behind!
◦Ask yourself: What’s Your Mountain?…What is blocking the view of what God has for you?
◦Now write down on a note card the “Mountain” that’s been standing in your life blocking your view of your purpose. Next, throw it in the trash!
◦Let today be the day that you “Take The Step”!
