You have to put the basket in the water!
Happy Mothers Day!
◦The one thing every mother has in common is “The joy of child birth”
◦ Book of Isaiah talks a lot about childbirth
◦His uses childbirth as a metaphor with what he wants to do in the lives of his people
◦Isaiah 54:1-3 1 Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD.2 Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;3 For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
◦He is saying if you hold on through the storms and the misery God is about to do something amazing in your life.
◦He’s talking to those that are barren and to rejoice something amazing.
◦Hold On! God is about to do something amazing in your life!
◦The promise of God is Yes and Amen!
◦Who is this desolate? He is speaking to the mother not knowing how she is not sure how to get through a situation. She feels like she’s going down and can’t get back up! Mother who wishes she can fix it for her children. The mom struggling with anxiety. The mom just surviving. So stressed she can’t think straight. Nothing left to give. Exhausted to her core.
✓The enemies goal is to get you so depressed and distracted that you can’t see Gods plan for your life!
◦Tired! Meaning that you hone through so much and faced so many issues that you’re tired! Tired from the fight and the battle.
◦If the enemy can get you exhausted…
◦Isaiah 37:3 3 And they said unto him, Thus saith Hezekiah, This day is a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and of blasphemy: for the children are come to the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth.
✓IF….you allow the enemy to take your strength
✓THEN… he has your weapon.
✓AND THEN…IF…he has your weapon.
✓THEN….you can’t pray worship praise and do damage!
✓DO NOT LOSE YOUR PRAISE!
◦Sing Barren Sing! Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud
◦Don’t lose your Praise Worship and Prayer Life!
◦When you begin to worship, might rush of wind the Holy Spirit falls on you!
✓1 Peter 5:7 7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. All anxiety concerns worries once and for all!
◦Exodus 2:1-3 1 And there went a man of the house of Levi, and took to wife a daughter of Levi.2 And the woman conceived, and bare a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months.3 And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river's brink.
✓Not sure what has you stressed or overwhelmed, but you have to put the basket in the water. LET GO and trust the plan of the Father.
◦Imagine how difficult it had to be for a mom to put a baby in a basket in the water!
