The Impact Vision
Impact Vision: 12 Stones
Habakkuk 2:2-3
“And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”
Last week, we tarted sharing THE IMPACT VISION using our 12 Stones. We touched on the 5 below:
✓Impact Stone- We deal with the REINS: We allow God to deal with the things holding us back, and we work together to endure difficult periods and to prepare ourselves for the plans and purposes God has for our lives.
✓Impact Stone- We need His POWER: Jesus helped people out of their conditions and positions, empowering them for a better life. Through the Holy Spirit and the Word of God, we can walk in that same power.
✓Impact Stone- We preach the GOSPEL (This will never change): Through our songs, services, words, lives, and communications with the world, we celebrate and share the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
✓Impact Stone- WE FIGHT FOR SURRENDER: We are on a path to see every part of our lives (speech, our socail media accounts, sexuality, insecurities, fears, triumphs,) conformed to the character of Christ.
✓Impact Stone: WE ARE “planted”: Which means we are showing up, we are praying, we are getting in groups, we are givng, we are serving, we are inviting
We share this vision at Impact Church using the 12 Stones. It’s important to us because the book of Revelation warns us in the last days that a Babylon spirit will oppose the things of God!
◦The city of Babylon is mention 250 times in the Bible to get our attention. The book of Revelation really brings to light this city and the things that will transpire before Christ comes back.
◦The Babylon Spirit: It’s referenced as a Mother of Prostitutes and a dwelling place for demons.
✓Revelation 17:5 (NIV): “The name written on her forehead was a mystery: Babylon the Great, the Mother of Prostitutes and of the Abominations of the Earth.”
✓Revelation 18:2 (NIV): “Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great! She has become a dwelling for demons and a haunt for every impure spirit, a haunt for every unclean bird, a haunt for every unclean and detestable animal.”
◦The demonic forces is about division and deception. When this spirit shows up, the house will operate in distinction! House divided cannot stand.
✓Mark 3:24-25 (KJV): “And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.”
◦Impact Is not a home for demons…
✓Impact Stone- We protect UNITY: We do not welcome nor tolerate the poisons of gossip, complaining, backbiting, discord, or division.
◦Think about it…You never see demons gossiping about other demons or pulling each other down but you’ll see it in churches! WE PROTECT UNITY!
◦But how do we protect unity?Don’t allow people to trash where you eat. You can come here and experience the presence of God. Anyone that comes here can feel the peace of God.
◦We talk about setting the table. People are fighting in so many areas of their life-work,family problems and they come here and serve. We need to make sure when others come to the house of God they experience God, His presence, and His anointing. Don’t allow people to trash where you eat. Shut down gossip!
◦Ignore those that are trying to pull you away from WHERE YOU’VE BEEN ASSIGNED!
✓WRITE THIS DOWN: “You will never find a perfect pastor and a perfect church. They just don’t exist….It’s not about perfection it’s about purpose.”
◦You will church hop forever trying to look for it! It’s not about a number..It’s about purpose!
◦If you allow God to deal with the reins then the purpose will flourish in your life!
✓Impact Stone: We deal with the REINS: We allow God to deal with the things holding us back, and we work together to endure difficult periods and to prepare ourselves for the plans and purposes God has for our lives.
◦Don’t go to a church because of tradition…it’s about finding a church to serve out your purpose!
✓He did not save you and redeem you to warm a pew, He did so to send you out!
✓Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV):“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
◦Get where God has purposed you to be. Allow Him to deal with those Reigns so bitterness will be removed.
✓Babylon is first mention in Genesis. It’s interpreted as CONFUSION!!! Genesis 11:7-9 (NIV):“Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.” So the Lord scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city. That is why it was called Babel—because there the Lord confused the language of the whole world. From there the Lord scattered them over the face of the whole earth.”
◦We are constantly trying to combat what the world brings. The enemy is the author of confusion. Kids are being bombarded with confusion. Know the truth what God says about you! You are in Christ! That’s why we minister to families!
✓Impact Stone: We minister to FAMILIES: The first ministry God created was family. We are dedicated to ministering to the entire family, which in turn builds a healthy church.
◦Your kids are getting the word of God in our preschool. It’s not a babysitter.
◦We are pushing back on the enemy!
✓I Corinthians 4:20 1 Corinthians 4:20 (NIV):“For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.”
◦Step into what God has purposed for you. We have to push back.
◦Take both hands and say “I’m pushing back!”
✓The prayer of Jabez, especially the part where he asks God to “enlarge my territory” (1 Chronicles 4:10), has deep spiritual significance. This phrase is more than just asking for physical land or material wealth—it reflects a desire for increased influence, opportunities, and capacity to fulfill God’s purpose.
◦Enlarge my territory: Strength to acquire something not owned and is under a jurisdictional rule of someone else.
✓WHAT HE IS SAYING IS: I’m taking what the enemy thought was his!
✓Joshua 1:3 (NIV): “I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses.”
◦If you do that, but you have to take a step!
✓REDLINE: In hiking, it means to take new Territory! (Look for the Impact Redline Tshirt)
◦The enemy thought he had my family, my mind, and had me in bondage depression and addiction, but I’m taking a step.
◦You need to take the step this year!
✓2 Timothy 1:7 (NIV): For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline
◦Take that step!
✓John 11:43-44 (NIV):When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.”
◦Lazarus was still bound when Jesus commanded him to come forth and then he was loosened. Sometimes we wait for life to be perfect, but that’s not how Jesus works. You need to take the step!
✓Mark 5:9-12 (NIV): 9 Then Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” “My name is Legion,” he replied, “for we are many.” 10 And he begged Jesus again and again not to send them out of the area.11 A large herd of pigs was feeding on the nearby hillside. 12 The demons begged Jesus, “Send us among the pigs; allow us to go into them.”
◦There are demons that are in jurisdictions.
◦National poverty rate is 11%. In Ohio it’s 13.4%. In Steubenville is 26.9%. In severe in Ohio is 6.5% in Steubenville it’s 13.9%. In WV it’s in top three in nation. The enemy is moving and working in this area.
◦***New stone this year:
✓We serve THE HURTING: The poor, the orphaned, the lost, the forgotten, and the broken are close to God’s heart and we want them close to our heart as well.
◦Serve the City outreach! Get involved. We are pushing back.
◦Let’s push back and Red Line!
✓Impact Stone: We see with eyes of HOPE: God has a plan for His church, and no weapon formed against us will prosper! We pray that all see their purpose and the plans God has for Grace and Forgiveness.
✓2 Kings 6:17 (NIV): “And Elisha prayed, ‘Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.’ Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.”
◦We pray you all see that God is for you and has plans for you and you get planted here at Impact church, and you see purpose grace and love!
✓Reminder: Mondays in January are days of prayer and fasting. Go to app for details. Next three Mondays, we ask that you fast and pray in the Weirton Campus with us so you see with eyes of hope and purpose. God has a plan!
